Juliane Sabine was born on February 4th, 1850 in Vorwalde, Hannover, Germany.1 Juliane Sabine's father was Hermann Heinrich Ellermann and her mother was Anne Marie Dorothee Elisabeth Ballman. Her paternal grandparents were Johann Friedrich Ellermann and Anne Marie Vor Dem Berg; her maternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich Ballmann and Anne Marie Vortman. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Hermann Heinrich, Gerhard Friedrich, Heinrich Wilhelm, Friedrich Ludwig, Johann Heinrich Rudolph, Marie Elise, Marie Wilhelmine Lisette, Marie Auguste and Johanne Sophie. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 89 on January 4th, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky.1 -
