Lura F. Dean 
Lura F. was born on July 25th, 1895 in Hector's Creek, Harnett Co., North Carolina.1 Lura F.'s father was James O. Dean and her mother was Sarah Frances Tutor. Her paternal grandparents are John Dean and Mary Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Jessie Harris Tutor and Sarah Elizabeth Sexton. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James Irvin, Willie Leonard, David Buren, Hattie C., Iola L., Lillie, Hurlie Bessie and Velma. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 60 on February 9th, 1956.1 General Notes
