Benjamin was born before 1744.1 Benjamin's father was John, Jr. Crane and his mother is Rebecca Huntington. His paternal grandfather is John Crane and his paternal grandmother was Sarah Spencer; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Huntington and Rebeckah Adgate. He was an only child.
