John M. Clendenen 
John M. was born in 1878.1 John M.'s father was Mathew McMillen Clendenen and his mother was Nancy Jane Basham. His maternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Mary Elizabeth Peters. He had five brothers and five sisters, named George G., Arglon Henry, James B., William Kelly, W. Sebastian, Mary Elizabeth, Julia B., Lennie B., Emma and Della. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 75 in 1953.1 General Notes
