Roy Milton was born on February 15th, 1888 in Chama, Rio Arriba Co., New Mexico.1 Roy Milton's father was Donald M. (Moody) Basham and his mother was Mary Melvina Stewart. His paternal grandparents were Richard H. Basham and Martha Ann Speaks. He had five brothers and a sister, named Richard H., Frank, Whitte G., James V., Milton S. and Anna E.. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 69 on July 9th, 1957 in Paradise, Butte Co., California.1 General Notes
