Richard C. was born on March 11th, 1876 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Richard C.'s father was Francis E Basham and his mother was Elizabeth J Mingus. His paternal grandparents were Manoah Stone Basham and Elizabeth Armes. He had a brother and a sister, named Rutherford and Sirena. He was the second oldest of the three children.
