Mary Catherine Basham 
Mary Catherine was born about October 1856 in Floyd Co., Virginia.1 Mary Catherine's father was Benjamin Basham and her mother was Emilia (Molly) Ridinger. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Basham and Elender (Ellen) Ross. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John Amos, James Henry, Joseph Ingel, William, Charles Headen, Sarah Ellen, Romina Jane and Margaret L.. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
