Joseph Floyd was born on March 23rd, 1906 in Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Va.1 Joseph Floyd's father was Hamilton Hampton Basham and his mother was Ann Elizabeth Gray. His paternal grandparents were Ellis L. Basham and Caroline D. Graham. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Kirk J., Ernest, Maurice, Kenneth T., Alton (Al), Alice B., Effie and Lucille Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 66 on October 29th, 1972 in Redondo Beach, L A Co., Cal.1 General Notes
