John Basham 
John was born in June 1836 in Woodbury, Cannon Co., Tennessee.1 John's father was Jonathan Basham and his mother was Elizabeth McComb. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Basham and Virginia Elizabeth Jones. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Unknown Male, James M., Henry, Alvis, William, Thomas Gowen, Jonathan, Sarah B., Amanda Eleanor and Mariah Elizabeth. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 72 on January 17th, 1909 in Manchester, Coffee Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes

WILL Last Will and Testimony of John Basham
I John Basham knowing the certainty of death realizing that no one k
no ws when he shall be called and being now of sound mind do hereby ma
ke a nd publish this as my last will revoking any and all wills heretofo
re ma de by me. 1st I enter for my just debt in closing my funeral exp
en se to be paid out of my estate as soon as practical after my deat
h. 2 nd I will and bequest to my sister Mariah Couch the sum of one hundr
ed do llars to be paid out of my estate. 3rd I will and beqest to my ne
