Thelma Ballah was born on January 14th, 1896. Thelma Ballah's father was John Frederick Swisher and her mother is Josephine Ballah. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Swisher and Harriet Clayton. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Harry G., George Wayne, Minnie Belle, Genevieve and Hannah.
