Blanche Swortzel says George had a middle initial V. which I have not found on any documents. This may be a mistake. George's home once stood on Rt 742 (get there by Rt 740) (torned down in 1994). I have an old photo of it.
BIRTH: Bible record says he was born Feb 1763 which would be before the marriage bond of parents in Dec 1763, so it may be he was born in Feb 1765. Censuses support pre 1770 date can't narrow further - 1810 says born bef 1765, 1820 says was born before 1775, 1830 says 1760-1770, 1840 says born 1760-1770. His sons William and John's 1880 census says father born PA. It is assumed to be Chester Co where his parents were living.
