Maud Matilda De was born about 1071 in Valois, Bretagne, France.  Maud Matilda De's father was Hugh The Great' Crepi and her mother was Adelaide De Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Capet King Of France and Anna Agnesa Yaroslavna Of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV Count Of Vermandois and Adele Of Valois. She had four sisters named Agnes De, Emma Avice De, Constance De and Isabel Elizabeth De.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died in 1080.
