Irmgard was born about 0970 in Hammerstein, Now Czarne, Koszalin, Poland.  Irmgard's father was Godfrey De Verdun and her mother was Matilda Billung Of Saxony.  Her paternal grandparents were Gonzelon Of Ardennes and Uda Of Metz; her maternal grandparents were Hermann Billung Duke Of Saxony and Hildegarde Of Westerbourg. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Gozelo Gonzelon I De, Frederick De, Adelaide De, Ermentrude De and Gerberge De.  She was the youngest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named II Flanders Arnold, Jean Of Tonnbridge De and Bertha.  She died in Y.
