Ela De was born about 1120 in Alencon, Orne, France.  Ela De's father was William Talvas Montgomery Le Despencer and her mother was Alice Helia Countess Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert De Montgomery and Agnes Of Ponthieu; her maternal grandparents were Philip I The Fair Capet Of France and Bertha Countess Of Holland. She had two brothers and a sister, named Guy II Of, Thurston Le and Clemence.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died on October 4th, 1174 in Priory Of, Bradenstoke, Wiltshire, England.
