Mary was born about 1145 in Halton Castle, Skipton, Yorkshire, England. Mary's father was Richard Fitzeustace Lord Clavering and her mother was Albreda Aubrye De Lisoures. Her paternal grandparents were Eustace Fitzjohn De Burgo and Agnes Fitzneel; her maternal grandparents were Robert Eudo De Lisoures and Albreda Aubrye De Lacy. She had a brother and a sister, named John Fitzrichard De and Aubrey. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers named Roger, William and William. She died in 1185 in Aldford, Cheshire, England.-
