SERVICES SET WEDNESDAY FOR SOLAR HILLS RANGER

     Services for Charles (Pop) STROPES, captain in the Solar Hills Rangers and former Cincinnati fireman, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the T. P. White funeral home, Mt. Washington.  Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
     Mr. Stropes, who was 67 years old, died late Friday in General Hospital.  He had retired from the fire department in 1950 after 8 years of service.  His home was at 6404 Corbly Rd., Mt. Washington.
     A member of the Republican Club and the Fraternal Order of Police, he had joined the Solar Hills Rangers following retirement as a firefighter.
     He leaves his widow, Mrs. Gertrude QUICK STROPES; four sons, Kenneth, Alfred, Willis and Ralph STROPES; two daughters, Mrs. Letha SCHMIDT and Mrs. Betta DEAN, all of Cincinnati and 13 grandchildren.
