     Lycurgus STROPES, 7739 Anderson Ave., Forestville, brother of Capt. C. Alfred STROPES of the Solar Hills Rangers, died yesterday at Good Samaritan Hospital after an illness of four weeks.  He was 34 years old.
     Mr. STROPES was a member of the Eagles and the Masons.  He had been employed as an electrician at the Cincinnati Milling Machine Co.
     Besides his brother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna STROPES; a son, Robert, 10; a daughter, Cathie, 2; three other brothers, Ralph STROPES of the Cincinnati Fire Department; Kenneth, Mt. Washington, and Willis, who is in the Navy; two sisters, Mrs. Letha SCHMIDT, Mt. Washington, and Mrs. Betty DEAN, Forestville; his father, Charles STROPES, of the Cincinnati Fire Department, and his  mother, Mrs. Gertrude STROPES, both of Corbly Road, Mt. Washington.
     The T. P. White funeral home, Mt. Washington, has charge of services.
