Andrew Jackson "Jack" Marriott was born 25 October 1815 (per tombstone) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland and died 17 October 1887 in Hardin County, Kentucky. He is buried along with his wife at the "Old" Saint Ignatius Cemetery, near Harcourt, Hardin County, KY. This is a Catholic Cemetery which is now located on Pearce's farm near Harcourt, Hardin County, KY. He was probably named after the President to be, Andrew Jackson. He married Cynthia Ann Burtle on 5 May 1840 with some having it as 1 August 1841. Cynthia was born 9 October 1824 and died 31 January 1899. Cynthia Burtle was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Mudd Burtle. Cynthia's sister, Ellen, married Andrew's brother, William E. Marriott. William and Ellen Marriott moved to Texas around 1855. An Andrew Burtle age 86 and his wife, Eliza Burtle, are buried along side William and Ellen Marriott in a Catholic Cemetery near Wylie, Collin County, Texas. Andrew was a witness for many Marriott marriages as recorded in the marriage book in Elizabethtown, KY. Andrew is listed in many old record books from the Klinglesmith farm located at Howevalley, Hardin County, KY. Andrew "Aud" is mentioned in letter from William Marriott dated 22 August 1857 from Dallas County, Texas.
