HEART ATTACK ENDS IN DEATH
Mrs. Alfred FREDERICK Dies Suddenly At Home On Court Street.
Stricken with a heart attack Monday night at her home, 813 Court street, Mrs. Hazel MONK FREDERICK, wife of Alfred FREDERICK, well known grocer at Eighth and Court streets, died, shortly before midnight. A physician was called, but Mrs. FREDERICK had lapsed into unconsciousness and soon passed away.
Mrs. FREDERICK was seized with a fainting spell in her home Monday morning. She recovered rapidly and later walked to the office of Dr. J. W. FITCH at Ninth and John streets. She responded to medical assistance and was much imporeved Monday afternoon. She suffered another attack last night and it ended in her death.
Mrs. FREDERICK was born in Portsmouth Jan. 10, 1891 and in addition to her husband is survived by her father, Hiley MONK and five brothers: Ralph of Pennsylvania, Oscar of Brockton, Mass., and Howard, Carl and William (Widge) MONK of Portsmouth. Mrs. FREDERICK was a member of the First Presbyterian church and possessed a wide circle of friends in this city.
The body was moved from Lynn's funeral home to 813 Court street. Funeral arrangments will be made later.
