Alex KELLSION Taken By Death

Pike County Native, Resident Here 42 Years, Dies At Home Of Son

      Alex KELLISON, 86, resident of this city for the last 42 years, died at the home of his son, J. J. KELLISON, 424 Sinton street, at 6 p.m. Wednesday.  Death came after a lingering illness of complications.  He had been bedfast two weeks.
      Mr. KELLISON was born in Pike county on Oct. 16, 1848 and death claimed him after he had celebrated his 86th birthday anniversary.  He had lived in Portsmouth since 1892 and was a paper hanger.  His wife, Mrs. Katharine KELLISON, died in 1930.  Mr. KELLISON was a member of First Christian Church.
      He is survived by his son and one daughter, Mrs. J. F. STARK of Chillicothe.  One daughter preceded him in death.  He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. William GEHRES of Waverly and Mrs. Iona KANEY of Chillicothe.
      The body was removed to the McKenzie funeral home.  Funeral services probably will be held Friday afternoon.
