Jasper was born in October 1892 in , Wayne, West Virginia, USA.1 Jasper's father was Absalom T. FINLEY and his mother was Malinda E. ADKINS. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Henry FINLEY and Louisa Catherine CLARK; his maternal grandparents were George Wasington ADKINS and Amy MAYNARD. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Tommy, George, Amy, Katie, Bertha, Tennessee, Polly or Pauline and Laura. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died about 1913.2 General Notes
