PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. -- Richard Alan "Dick" Craycraft, 65, passed on to be with our Lord on Dec. 17, 2004, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Dick was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Portsmouth, Ohio.
The son of Stanley and Evelyn (Schwamberger) Craycraft. He spent his early years in Marion, Ohio. He later moved to Lakewood, Colo., where he lived for 19 years enjoying hunting, fishing and camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. For the last 11 years, he lived in sunny Arizona and the last four years in Dewey. He was a well respected supervisor/industrial mechanic in Ohio, Colorado and Arizona for many years.
Dick shared the last 30 plus years of his life with his cherished and beloved wife, Linda (Bollack) Craycraft. He was the proud dad of Rick Craycraft and Krista Craycraft of Marion, Ohio, Tammy (Dan) Gable, of Flagstaff, Ariz., Lisa (Phillip) Colwell, and Ty (Kim) Craycraft of Rock Hill, S.C., also Charyn (fiancé Billy Fessler) Craycraft of Dewey, Ariz. He was "Papa" to 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Eugene (Donna) Craycraft, Ronald (Phyllis) Craycraft, John (Bertie) Craycraft, James (Barbara) Craycraft of Marion, Ohio, Gary (Cheryl) Craycraft of Bailey, N.C., and Steve (LeeAnn) Craycraft of Columbus, Ohio; and sister, Gail Sobas of Delaware, Ohio.
Dick was a member of the Chino Valley United Methodist Church and was loved by all. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped in caring for Dick, especially the Hospice Family Care Team and the loving staff at the Prescott Valley Samaritan Village.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church in Chino Valley, Ariz. Chino Valley Funeral Home is caring for the family.
