FORMER JOHNSTOWN WOMAN DEAD IN WEST
Word has been recieved here from University Place, Neb., announcing the death of Mrs. Maria Douglass Adams, relict of Henry Adams, which occurred there on Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law, Daniel Zech, aged 87 years. The deceased was born in Indiana County and was married to Henry Adams, for a long time an employee on the Pennsylvania Canal. He died here 21 years ago. Mrs. Adams made her home in Coopersdale for a long time, going to Nebraska in 1905. Mrs. Adams was the mother of W. B. and James Adams, of the Twenty-first Ward; A. F. Adams, of Denver; Mrs. Mary Parks, of Conemaugh; Mrs. Daniel Zech, of University Park, and Mrs. Jennie Link, of East Taylor Township.
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Zech arrived in Johnstown this morning with the body which was taken to the home of William B. Adams, No. 246 Cooper avenue. Funeral services will be held there at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning by Rev. James E. Inskeep, pastor of the Cooper avenue M. E. charge, which Mr. and Mrs. Henry Adams helped organize. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel, where her husband and father-in-law are buried. Six grandsons of Mrs. Adams will act as pallbearers.
Beside her sons and daughters, Mrs. Adams is survived by 36 grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren. She was a half-sister of Mrs. Jane Adams, of Tanneryville, and Mrs. Andrew Adams, of Strongstown.

Word was received in Indiana on Friday of the death of Mrs. Maria Adams, aged 87 years, the widow of Henry Adams, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Zeck, of University Place, Neb. The remains were brought to Johnstown this morning and taken to the home of William B. Adams, where the funeral services will be held on Sabbath. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Douglass, the deceased was born in Cherrytree, where she spent her early childhood. Her husband, who died about 21 years ago, was captain of one of the boats used on the old Portage Canal. She leaves seven children and two sisters, one of the latter being Mrs. Nancy Adams, of Strongstown
