Mary was born about 1446. Mary's father was Richard WOODVILLE and her mother was Jacquetta Of LUXEMBOURG. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Wydville (Or WOODVILLE) and Joan BEDLISGATE. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Anthony, John, Lionel, Elizabeth, Anne, Margaret, Jacquetta, Joan and Katherine. She was the third youngest of the ten children.
