His paternal grandparents were Eystein GLUMRA and Ascrida RAGNVALDSDOTTIR; his maternal grandfather was Hrolf NEFJA. He had a brother named Hrolf Der Ganger. He was the younger of the two children.
They had a son named Hrolf Thurstan.
