Arthur GIFFORD 
Arthur was born in 1580 in Of, Brightley, Devonshire, England and his baptism took place on June 17th, 1580 in Atherington. Arthur's father was John GIFFORD and his mother was Honor EARLE. His paternal grandparents were John GIFFORD and Mary GRANVILLE; his maternal grandparents were Walter EARLE and Margery WIKES. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, William, John, Joan, Maria, Margaret, Elizabeth, Honor and Alice. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 36 in 1616. He was buried in 1616 in Chittlehampton.General Notes
