John Mcdowell ELLIOT 
John Mcdowell was born in 1834. John Mcdowell's father was Samuel Mcdowell ELLIOT. His paternal grandparents were Robert ELLIOT and Anne McDOWELL. He had a brother named Robert Paterson. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 74 on December 21st, 1908 in South Hill Park, Hampstead, London.
John Mcdowell and Elizabeth Mary Mackenzie were married in a religious ceremony on October 22nd, 1861 in Surat, India. They had six sons named Gilbert Sutherland Mcdowell, Robert Henry, Ernest Edward, John Alfred, Frederick Alexander and Charles Howard.

Charles Howard was born on August 26th, 1879 in Bedford. He died at the age of 38 in 1917 in Givenchy.
