Lucy was born on February 6th, 1837 in Banbury, Cheshire, England. Lucy's father was John EGERTON and her mother was Ellen GOULD. Her paternal grandparents were Charles EGERTON and Mary COKER; her maternal grandfather was Thomas GOULD. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John Coker, Charles Cadwallader, Philip Reginald, Hugh Aldersey, Thomas Gilbert, Hubert Decimus, Ellen Mary, Agnes Harriet and Augusta Elizabeth. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
