Maud was born about 1114 in Of, Leicester, Leicestershire, England. Maud's father was Robert DE BEAUMONT and her mother was Isabel DE VERMANDOIS. Her paternal grandparents were Roger DE BEAUMONT and Adelise DE MEULAN; her maternal grandparents were Hugh MAGNUS and Adelaide DE VERMANDOIS. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Waleran, Hugh, Aubreye, Adeline, Isabel/Elizabeth, Havoise, Amicade, Adeline (Gundrea) and Isabel. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Reginald, Ralph, William III, Gundred, Ada, Adelian and Ada Adeline. She died after 1189.1 General Notes
