His paternal grandparents were Richard COODE and Tomasina GLYNN; his maternal grandparents were Peter CORITON and Jone TREGASOW. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Phillip, Gilbertus, Arthur, Guilfelmus, Joseph, Ricus, Anna, Tomasina, Christiana, Elizabeth, Katherina, Brigat, Eliza, Jana and Margareta.
