Henry was born in 1272 in Clist Champernon, Devonshire, England. Henry's father was William CHAMPERNOWNE and his mother was Joan ARUNDEL. His paternal grandparents were Henry CHAMPERNOWNE and Dionisia ENGLISH. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Reginald, John, Margaret and Dionisia.
