Adam Carter was born in 1731 in FREDERICK CO., VIRGINIA. Adam Carter's father was Samuel GANN and his mother was Elizabeth CARTER. His paternal grandparents were Monsieur Johannes GANN and Femme Regina GANN; his maternal grandparents were Herr CARTER and Frau CARTER. He had four brothers and a sister, named Nathan, Clement, John, Samuel Nathan and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the six children.
