Phebe was born in 1653 in Gloucester, Essex, MA and her baptism took place about 1653 in Of Topsfield, Essex, Mass.. Phebe's father was John WILDES and her mother was Priscilla GOULD. Her paternal grandparents were William WILDES and Miss UNKNOWN; her maternal grandparents were Zaccheus GOULD and Phebe DEACON. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Jonathan, John, Nathan, Nathan, Ephraim, Sarah, Sarah, Elizabeth, Priscilla and Martha. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
