Sarah was born on August 22nd, 1746 in Attleborough, Brstl, MA. Sarah's father was Noah READ. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel READ and Elizabeth IDE. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Timothy, David, Noah, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Esther, Abigail, Esther, Chloe, Rachael and Hannah. She was the third oldest of the twelve children.
