John GREGORY 
John was born in 1585 in Of, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. John's father was John GREGORY and his mother was Alice Or Alicia Or Ashton ALTON. His paternal grandparents were Thomas GREGORY and Dorothy BEESTON; his maternal grandfather was John ALTON. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Mychell, William, Edward, Henry, Elizabeth and Winifred. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 104 on October 9th, 1689 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut.General Notes
