Thomas was born on July 12th, 1663 in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Thomas' father was Thomas EAMES. His paternal grandparents were Thomas AINGE and Elizabeth REED or READ. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Nathaniel, Gershom, Child, Samuel, Margaret, Sarah, Lydia, Child, Gershom, Daughter and Elizabeth.
