Laurens was born on March 1st, 1572 in Namur, Namur, Belgium. Laurens' father was Nicasius De Sille and his mother was Genoveve De Romaignan. His paternal grandparents were Nicolaas De Sille and Barbara Van Der Goes; his maternal grandparents were Laurens De Romaignan and Phillipotte Le Noir. He was an only child.
