John was born in 1269 in Mapperton, Somersetshire, England. John's father was Roger De Moels and his mother was Mrs. Roger De Moels. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas De Moels and Hawise De Newmarche. He was an only child. He died at the age of 41 on May 20th, 1310.-
