Betsey was born on July 27th, 1813 in Mayfield, Cuahoga, Ohio. Betsey's father was James COVERT and her mother was Martha JUDD. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas COVERT and Jennie or Jane HARRIS; her maternal grandparents were Thomas JUDD and Mercy SCOTT. She was an only child.
