Recared of the was born about 0555 in Spain. Recared of the's father was Leovigild of Spain and his mother was Theodosia. His paternal grandparents were Amalaric II De Visigoths and Clotilde of the Franks; his maternal grandparents were Count of Cartagena Severinus and Theodora De Ostrogoths. He had a brother named St. Hermengild. He was the older of the two children. He died in June 0601.-
