Thomas Thornton 
Thomas was born in 1316 in East Newton, Yorkshire, England. Thomas' father was Lord William Thornton and his mother was Isabel De Newton. His paternal grandparents were John Thornton and Miss Dalton; his maternal grandparents were Sir John De Newton and Lady Bigott. He had three sisters named Isabel, Agnes and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the four children.-
