Meax Thornton

Meax was born about 1739. Meax's father was William III Thornton and his mother was Anne Meaux. His paternal grandparents were William Jr. Thornton and Prudence Willis; his maternal grandparents were John Meaux and Elizabeth Lanley. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William IV, John, Richard, Infant, Elizabeth, Anne and Infant. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Jesse.
