Martin of was born about 0660 in Laon, Aisne, France. Martin of's father was Mayor of Austrasia Ansegisal and his mother was Saint Begue of Brabant. His paternal grandparents were Bishop of Metz St. Arnulph and Clothilde Dode; his maternal grandparents were I Pepin and St. Itta Iduberga. He had a brother and a sister, named Pepin and Regent. He was the youngest of the three children. He died after 0710.-
