Eleanor was born in 1402 in Ravensworth, Yorkshire, England.  Eleanor's father was Sir Henry FitzHugh and her mother was Elizabeth De Grey.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Hugh FitzHenry and Joan Le Scrope; her maternal grandparents were Sir Robert de Grey and Lora Saint Quintin. She had a brother and two sisters, named Lord William, Matilda and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 55 on September 30th, 1457.
