Fastré was born about 1140. Fastré's father was Wauthier D'Oisy and his mother was Princess Of Mortagne Ade. His paternal grandparents were Fastré D'Oisy and Richilde. He had four brothers and a sister, named Nicolas "Plukiel", Thierry, Everard, Gossum and Petronille. He was the youngest of the six children.
