Aaron was born about 1704 in Staten Island,New York. Aaron's father was Isbrandt Van Cleef-VanCleave and his mother was Jannetje Van der Bilt. His paternal grandparents were Jan Van Cleef-VanCleave and Engeltje Louwerens; his maternal grandparents were Aert Jans Van der Bilt and Hillegonde Van der Beek. He had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, Cornelius, Benjamin, Anne, Margaret, Helena, Janneke, Mary and unnamed. He died in 1780 in Rowen County,North Carolina. He was buried in Joppa Cemetary,Salisbury,NC.-
