Francis Ellen was born on March 11th, 1896.1 Francis Ellen's father was Joseph Kelso Terry and her mother was Mary Jane Smith. Her paternal grandparents were John King Terry and Mary Ann Riddle. She had three brothers and a sister, named Oscar Benton, Berry Otis, Arlin Joseph and Mary Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the five children.-
