Aimer was born in 1160 in Angouleme,Charente-Maritime,France. Aimer's father was Guillaume IV Taillefer and his mother was Emma De Limoges. His paternal grandparents were Vulgrin II Taillefer and Ponce Sire; his maternal grandparents were Ademar III De Limoges and Graule Taillefer. He had a brother and a sister, named Aymer and Mathilde. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 58 in 1218 in L'abbey La Couroun,,France.-
