James Bragg was born about 1826 in Letter B,Oxford,Maine. James Bragg's father was John SWEAT and his mother was Molly Or Polly (Polly) MARSTON (POLLY). His paternal grandparents were David SWEAT and Elizabeth AKERS; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Marston and Eunice Runnels. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named John Akers, Benjamin Titcomb, James Bragg, George Hyrum, Joshua Baldwin "Younger", Joshua Baldwin, Mary Ann, Sarah Buck, Elizabeth Runnels, Persis Moors, Persis Mastin, Sophia Eldora, Sophia Eldora, Martha Wilson and Abigale Stillman. He died due to inflamation of lungs on April 13th, 1865 in Camp Butler,Springfield,Sagamon,Illinois.General Notes
