Delancy Sloan 
Delancy was born on November 7th, 1889 in Marengo,Crawford County,Indiana. Delancy's father was John Eads Sloan and his mother was Sarah Ann (Sally) Vance. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Eads; his maternal grandparents were John Lewis Vance and Jane Landers. He had four brothers and a sister, named Ridgely, Clayton, Cecil, Wayne Walter and Lulu. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Perry V., Lyman Edward, John William Clark, Benjamin Lee, Treat Foresta and Nevada. He died at the age of 69 on March 29th, 1959. He was buried in Dayton,Ohio.General Notes
